The Wisconsin Office of Rural Health has scheduled another EMS Leadership Academy (Level One) for July 30th and 31st at the UW-River Falls Campus.

The EMS Leadership is a two-day leadership seminar for new, current and future leaders of ambulance services. This course will provide instruction and tools on personal leadership development, performance improvement for volunteers and recruitment and retention.

Hands-on, group participation is at the core of this program. Attendees will be given tools and techniques they can implement, not theories or abstract concepts.

Speaking at the workshop will be Aarron Reinert and John Becknell of the SafeTech Solutions.

There is NO COST to attend this workshop.  Please be watching for more details and registration materials.

National Emergency Medical Services Week


In 1974, President Gerald Ford signed the first official National Emergency Medical Services Week Proclamation. Every year since 1974, a week in May has been set aside and devoted to honoring the contributions of emergency services personnel, including dispatchers, first responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, nurses and physicians. These unselfish personnel, both paid and volunteer, spend countless hours in highly specialized training and continuing education to provide these lifesaving skills to the members of their communities. This year, the week of May 16-22 has been officially designated
