The Tri County EMS Association has established an EMS honor guard to respect fallen comrades. The purpose of the EMS Honor Guard is to ensure that each EMS provider, in the event of a Line of Duty Death (LODD), is provided with a dignified funeral service.

The Tri County EMS Assoication established the Honor Guard  to honor EMS professionals in Western Wisconsin. The duty of the Honor Guard is to provide assistance and support for existing honor guards, families and co-workers, as well as communities and local funeral directors. A Line Of Duty Death (LODD) is a trying time for all involved.

The Tri County EMS Association Honor Guard can provide the following services to fallen EMS comrades:

  1. Provide information on LODD benefits for the families
  2. Provide the United States Casket flag
  3. Furnish color guard with flags
  4.  Act as honorary pallbearers
  5.  Provide bugler for TAPS
  6.   Serve as ushers
  7.   Provide uniforms door attendants
  8.   Provide a CISD Chaplain

Our Guard relies on donations and grants, we do not charge for services.

We are also available upon request to perform color guard duties at EMS venues, meetings, etc. Our mission is not only to honor our fallen brethren, but to also promote the core values of EMS in Wisconsin.
